Manage Menu
Design the left-side navigation. Each menu holds categories and items.
Menu-level actions
Click Add New Menu to create one. You can edit or delete each row in place.
Build the menu tree
Opening a menu shows three panels.
- Left panel: a tree of every category and item in the menu, with a search box and Expand All / Collapse All links. Drag to reorder; while rearranging, the other panels hide until you Save or Cancel.
- Actions panel (middle): Add New Category, Add Child Item, Edit Details, Delete. A category can only be deleted once its children are removed.
- Right panel: the details form for whatever is currently selected.
- Category Details: Name, Label, Description, Save.
- Menu Details: Name, Description, Is Sub Category, Menu Url (see below), Category, Icon, Icon Color, Tags, Open in New Window, Show as New, Save.
Pick a target with the Menu Url field
Menu Url is a searchable picker — start typing and matching items appear as you go. Placeholder text: Type a URL or search query, form, chart, dashboard, timeline…
- Suggestions kick in from the very first character.
- Search matches each item's name and type, so typing form shows every form, and typing Revenue shows anything called Revenue.
- Each row shows the item's name and a colour-coded badge for its type: Query, Form, Chart, Dashboard, or Timeline.
- Pick one and its link is filled in for you.
